WebMar 24, 2015 · Unity Bullet Physics seems significantly more stable at the point you start simulating ridiculousness compared to PhysX. Bullet Physics is open source so you can use my c# wrapper or the c++ lib to create a server to simulate for multiplayer physics.

PhysX does require you to bake your main collision meshes...I think bullet can largely side step that.
