You won’t be scaling mountains, you’ll probably be walking sturdy well-trod paths. So there’s really no need to splash out on those DofE Kit List-recommended hugely expensive boots which are designed to handle mountains. WebI don't have an Oxbridge offer, but I can tell you with confidence that DofE will not give you an advantage in any way for Oxbridge. Several people who I know have attended Oxbridge and literally none of them have even done DofE Bronze. They care more about academics and supercurriculars (subject-related activities); DofE is neither.
