Caused by fowl adenovirus (FAdV), IBH requires diagnostic confirmation through histopathology and polymerase chain reaction tests. Histological examination revealed necrotizing hepatitis with large basophilic intranuclear inclusion bodies in the hepatocytes compatible with inclusion body hepatitis (IBH).
